Brief Overview
GatePlane is an one-stop shop, conditional, Just-In-Time (JIT), approval-based, Privileged Access Management (PAM) control plane.
Its main power is that its components’ source code is available (under the Elastic License v2) and self-hostable, not assuming/needing any access from GatePlane backend to the client infrastructure.
It has an always free Community tier, and additional services are available in Team and Enterprise tiers.
It is based on Vault/OpenBao, which effectively means that it can provide conditional access for all integrations already working with Vault/OpenBao and more.
It is created by Security Engineers to fulfill the needs of Security Officers, with Security Engineers in mind.
